Year 6 began their day at 6:30am. Breakfast was at 7:30am. Mrs Harris' group enjoyed the Zipwire and the obstacle challenge, whilst Miss Day's group enjoyed the Nightline and the Zipwire and Miss Hartley's group enjoyed Climbing and Fencing. Lots of the children gave it their best go and that's all we've asked from them. They've been setting their own goals and working towards them.
The children enjoyed lunch at 12:30. After this the children enjoyed the Leap of Faith and Shelter building in Mrs Harris' group and Miss Day's group, whilst Miss Hartley's group tried Aeroball and Team Tech. Dinner was burgers and hotdogs today, The children then enjoyed building and making rockets to protect their water balloon. The activity leaders also provided the teachers with some water balloons but ours were used far more wisely ensuring the children have had their daily shower! It is now 21:15 and the children are showering and getting ready for bed. They have had a wonderful day and have really made us all very proud of them with their resilience and exceptional behaviour. There will be plenty of photos to follow! The children enjoyed a lovely walk up Beeston Regis Heath to watch the sunset. It has been a spectacular day. The children have really enjoyed their activities and hopefully they are tired out for bedtime! Year 6 had a lovely dinner and enjoyed either curry or nuggets and chips. There was ice cream, biscuits and a variety of fruit for dessert. Obviously, there are lots of sweets in the rooms and we fully expect them to be full on sweets this evening! The first activities the children enjoyed were climbing and the zipwire. We had a lot of nerves but the children were brilliant and had a go! We are so very proud of them. There are more photos of these activities to follow! Year 6 are 0on their way for their Residential Trip! We have enjoyed some wonderful games and had a lovely morning at school. Year 6 enjoyed lunch on the school field before we left. We'll update you all on our antics when we arrive! |
