Welcome to Middle School
Summer Term 2014
This term we will be finding out about Britain under invasion in Anglo Saxon and Viking times.
These are just a few of the things that we will be learning about:
Literacy - writing Quest stories, persuasive letters, a new school prospectus, a story for younger children and shape poetry
Science- learning about living things and where they live (habitat) and about healthy eating and looking after our teeth
Our Art and DT skills will be developed through the making of Anglo Saxon and Viking artefacts and models.
In music we are learning to play the recorder.
In PSHCE we are learning about how to keep ourselves safe and about risk.
We will be having a day out at West Stow Anglo Saxon village to see how they lived.
TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY
To finish our topic on Pirates last term, we held a sponsored day dressing as pirates and doing pirate themed activities. The day ended with our Treasure Island singing assembly - thank you to all the parents who came to support us. The money that we raised (over £500!) is going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation - well done me hearties!
