A little bit about us...

We are in the Green Beach Hut. We are keen to learn and challenge ourselves to reach for the stars. We have positive attitudes to working hard and reaching our potential. We think about our core values throughout the day and we have reminders in the classroom to help us.

Meet Our School Councillors, Learning Councillors, Eco Councillors and Friendship Ambassadors!

The class voted for these responsible children to represent our class. They go to regular meetings and feedback any information to help our class be part of the community of Holland Haven.

Homework

One piece of homework is set per week: English, Maths, Science, Theme or Wellbeing which is part of a four-week cycle. This includes a week to practice times-tables and spellings (these are located in the A5 Home School book).

The weekly homework is due in on MONDAYS and the children have a week to complete it.  Home School books are given back out no later than Wednesday.
Homework should on average take around 20-30 minutes.

P.E.
Children need to come changed and they stay in their kit all day. We do PE on a Tuesday and Friday (correct P.E is needed and no earrings)     -  Swimming from the 24th September until Christmas on a Tuesday.

Reading
Children are expected to read a minimum of four times a week and parents can record this in their little red Home School book. There are motivational incentives such as crystals for additional reading.

Water bottles
Please can children only have water in their bottles - NO juice.

Medical
Any medicines your child requires must be handed to the school office and a form needs to be filled in.  These can not be given to the class teacher.

Penguins - Autumn Learning

Our theme this term is Penguins!

This term we will be learning all about penguins.  This theme will link with our work throughout the whole of the Autumn term. We will learn and use a medley of different skills over the next few weeks that will help us progress in all aspects of our learning.
