Super Star Fundraiser!

11/6/2020

Sydnie in Upper School was set a challenge by her gymnastic club to all the squad girls and boys.

They are currently raising money to ensure the gym is still able to open as and when that day will arrive that they can go back.

They were challenged to do some running before the gym reopens. They we given 3 potential targets:

Bronze - to run 5 miles
Silver -  to run 12 miles
Gold - to run 26 miles

Sydnie accepted the challenge setting her sights on the 26 mile run.
She managed to run 26 miles in 8 days. She then set her sights even higher aiming for 40 miles before the end of May which she completed with one day to spare. 40 miles in 14 runs!

Sydnie is busy deciding how many she can try and run in the month of June. She wants to do the double marathon which is 52.4 miles in total and possibly more. She has also had many people sponsor her which only spurs her on more.

What an awesome achievement of self motivation and willpower.
