A little bit about us...

In Class 2CW we are keen to learn and challenge ourselves to reach for the stars. We have positive attitudes to working hard and reaching our potential. We think about our core values throughout the day and we have reminders in the classroom to help us.
Meet Our School Councillors, Learning Councillors, Friendship Ambassadors and Eco Councillors!

The class voted for these responsible children to represent our class. They go to regular meetings and feedback any information to help our class be part of the community of Holland Haven.

Autumn Term    Step back in time to a land of Castles...

Picture
Welcome to our Autumn Term theme of Castles.

In our history-focused lessons, children will learn through a range of activities. The children will look at job roles within the castle: the castle buildings and defences; banquets; art work; castles around the world; respecting others in a class system in history; dance and jousting.

Take a look at some of our writing and our new castles role play area...

During our lessons we will use the theme of Dinosaurs to explore information and stories of this prehistoric era.

We will learn how to write stories - with a dinosaur and adventure theme - diaries from Mary Anning, recounts of the visits that we will go on, and poems using our senses and language skills.

Join us at the Seaside to explore our Ocean Theme this
Summer Term

During our lessons we will use the theme of Seaside to explore information and stories inspired by the ocean and its sea creatures!

In our theme work, we will learn how to write stories with a sea creature theme, recounts from beach trips and other visits, poems using our senses from our visits and information texts about the ocean.

As responsible members of our world, we will explore how we can look after the conservation of our
coastline and ocean.
