Welcome to the Governor pages of the School Website. I have been a School Governor at Holland Haven since 2006 and was elected to the position of Chair of the Governors in November 2013. I am a retired teacher and live locally. I bring to the role substantial experience of working in schools and working with people.
I visit the school regularly and am always available if you want to talk to me. I can be contacted through the school office if necessary. I am proud to be involved with Holland Haven and any visit to the school is a delight. In the following pages you can find out more about the Governing Board- who we are and what we do. We come from different walks of life and bring different skills and expertise to the Governing Board. The main role of a Governor is to 'support and challenge'. We support the school and its management but we also challenge by asking probing questions informed by our regular visits to the school. Ultimately, we want to help our school be the best school.
