University Challenge!
University Challenge 2014
Part One - Tuesday 3rd December
Holland Haven was offered the chance to take part in the University Challenge, along with lots of other primary schools in Tendring. We selected Yr 6 pupils to participate who are currently 1 level, or above, their expected National Curriculum levels in at least 2 areas: Maths, Reading, Writing or Science. For the first session, pupils from Holland Park Primary School joined us to meet a student and staff member from the University of Essex in order to find out what University life entails! We also explored key transferable skills that are acquired all the way through Education, including at University, ready for the world of work!8
Part Two - 31st March
This term our pupils joined the University of Essex for a taster day; they participated in lots of activities to build confidence and skills. The end of the day was celebrated with a Graduation that parents and teachers attended.
