HOLLAND HAVEN SCHOOL GOVERNORS

The Structure of the Governing Board

The Governing Board does most of its work in three committees
  • The Assets Committee - Finance & Premises (including Health & safety and Security)
  • The Curriculum Committee - Admissions, Discipline, Pupil Standards and Monitoring (including Safeguarding)
  • The Personnel Committee - Pay & Appointments, Monitoring and Evaluation

The chairs of committees together with the Headteacher and the Chair of Governors form a Standing Commttee which meets as and when the need arises to deal with matters that need to be dealt with urgently and are deemed by the Chair of Governors to warrant discussion but not of sufficient seriousness to warrant calling an extraordinary meeting of the Governing Body.

In addition to the committee work each Governor carries a portfolio consisting of at least one curricular and one non-curricular responsibility.
