This afternoon, we leant about the inventor, Marie Curie and her invention of x-rays. We then used cotton buds and glue to create our own skeleton x-ray!
3HP loved wearing non-uniform today... the rest of the school were very envious! We had an indoor picnic this afternoon as we were worried our crisps might blow away in the wind if we ate outside! Once we were all stuffed, we went outside for some extra play. Well done 3HP on another fantastic term of attendance! Congratulations Class 3HP... you have won the attendance competition again! We are very proud of you. As a special treat, you can come to school wearing non-uniform on Wednesday 2nd April. We will also be having a little picnic (outside if the weather is nice) so please could you bring in something to share with your friends? For example, a box of cakes, a packet of biscuits, or a sharing bag of crisps? Please don't bring in more than one thing as we will have too much! Wednesday 2nd April
We have been practising a range of complicated balances in PE this half term! We need to make sure our bodies are tense and we are using all of our muscles to keep our balances still like statues!
Since the beginning of the Spring term, the children have been having lessons with a visiting music teacher who is teaching them to play the recorders. So far, they are able to play notes B, A and G and can move fluidly between these notes to play pieces of music! During the first half term, the children worked in small groups to compose a dance routine to rainforest music, moving creatively to imitate rainforest animals.
The children have been following step-by-step guides to help them draw a variety of rainforest animals. To develop their drawing techniques, they repeated a chosen animal four times and, each time, they got better and better!
