Tuesday 7th December, we all dressed up as Victorians! Parents - thank you so much for your efforts and expense towards the costumes. The children looked brilliant and it really added to the experience. The children visited each Upper School classroom to learn about different aspects of Victorian life. With Mrs Hutton, the children practised their handwriting with dip pens and ink. This was very tricky and very messy! Then Class ULH visited Miss Day where they played different Victorian games. With Mrs Harris, our class made Victorian flip book toys. Finally, ULH visited UHa's classroom which had become a Victorian school room... and Miss Hartley had become a very strict Victorian teacher. There were slates to write on, dunce hats for children who made a mistake and a cane which was thankfully only used on the tables... and not the children! Here are some photos of our day!
